Wild Card was a 1968 Ford F-100 monster truck owned by Obsession Racing out of Menifee, California. It was primarily driven by Bo Swanson, but was also driven by a variety of other drivers, such as BJ Johnson, Dawson Rayas, Daron Basl, Eric Swanson and Travis Groth.
History[]
Wild Card made its debut as a 2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty in May 2021 at the Monster Truck Family Reunion shows in Pocatello, Idaho on Obsession. Later that year, the truck would begin competing in Monster Jam shows throughout the west coast, with BJ Johnson, Daron Basl and Travis Groth sharing driving duties.
In 2022, Wild Card would receive a new 1968 Ford F-100 body. At shows in Arizona, Oregon & Utah in 2023, Eric Swanson would drive the truck.
The Obsession chassis would be sold in 2022 and would be converted into Monster Moose and later The Veteran. Wild Card would then be run on the former Obsessed chassis as said truck would receive a new chassis in 2023.
In October 2023, the truck would be turned into Meesha Pharis’ Pretty Obsessed, thus putting Wild Card on hiatus.
Trivia[]
- As shown in renderings, Wild Card was originally intended to utilize a 1968 Ford F-100 as its body style.
- However, it would later debut on February 25th, 2022 for the West Valley City event of the All Star Monster Truck Tour.
