Wayne David Smozanek (July 14th, 1961-February 12th, 2022) was a monster truck owner and driver out of Jupiter, Florida. He got into monster trucks by purchasing Night Life from Dave Wieczorek. He was famous for being the driver/creator of the original Tropical Thunder until 2006, when Dan Rodoni bought the name off of him. He also drove several other trucks, including Night Life, Track Attack, Miami Thunder and Pouncer. In 2008, he drove Cowboy in Miami as a fill-in. On February 12th, 2022, Smozanek passed away from complications of COVID-19.
