Monster Trucks Wiki

Wasted Nites was a Hummer monster truck, formerly a Chevrolet Silverado, owned and driven by Brandon Budd out of Culpepper, Virginia. It served as an alter-ego to Buckshot, and was usually seen competing in Monster Jam events.

History[]

Wasted Nites was first unveiled to the public on February 2020 and made its first official appearance on February 15th at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi under the Monster Jam league. The truck would appear again the following weekend, this time at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois, although used exclusively for the Sunday afternoon shows. After the entire monster truck industry was initially put on hold in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wasted Nites was shelved for the time being. It would, however, return to competition the following year on September 4th at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

In 2022, the truck made an appearance on Monster Jam's Arena Series East tour in Greenville. The truck would later make its stadium debut in Foxborough. The debut would be successful, where Brandon and the truck would finish second in both racing and freestyle. The truck continued to do various Monster Jam shows throughout the rest of the year. At the October Arlington event, the truck would debut a new Hummer body style and wrap scheme. In Houston, the truck would have bad luck & shut down in all three competitions. The truck would also appear at the final stadium show of the year in Orlando.

The truck would not run in 2023 as the truck would run as Buckshot. Later that year, Brandon Budd would be arrested. The truck was later turned into Outlaw for Monster Truck Wars events.

In August 2025, the truck was converted to Hot Shot.

Trivia[]

  • The name of the truck stems from an old pulling tractor that was originally used by Budd's grandfather.
  • The reason Wasted Nites competes exclusively in Monster Jam is because of FELD Entertainment, the promoter of Monster Jam, making the decision to censor firearms, as well as any connections with firearms on trucks that compete in the league, which would prohibit Buckshot from competing as a result.
  • Wasted Nites was featured in the MrBeast video "I Got Hunted By The Military."
    • The truck was featured at 6 minutes and 11 seconds in the video. It is on the left side of the screen.
