Vendetta is a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 monster truck owned and driven by Mike Christensen of Team Throttle Monster out of Utah.
History[]
2018[]
Vendetta was originally created by Team KCM in August 2018, with Mike Christensen as the driver. KCM's ownership of the truck would be very short, however, as Christensen eventually left the team to team up with Paul Jensen and Kamikaze to create their own team, Team Throttle Monster. That October, Vendetta would make its first Monster Jam appearance at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
2019[]
Vendetta entered its first full year of competition in 2019, competing primarily in Monster Nation, and eventually the Toughest Monster Truck Tour. Christensen and the truck would go on to win the latter league's 2020 championship the following year.
2021[]
At the start of the 2021 season, Vendetta's chassis would be repainted red. Later, the truck would compete in select Monster Jam events for the remainder of the season, touring with Paul Jensen's Jurassic Attack.
2022[]
In 2022, Vendetta competes in its first full season of Monster Jam, competing in Stadium Championship Series Yellow and also competed in the final event in Charleston in Arena Championship Series East. During the second to last stop for Stadium Championship Series Yellow at Syracuse, NY, Mike dislocated his shoulder during the Skills Challenge, making him unable to compete for the rest of the series (He would later return to drive in the Wilkes Barre event). Chris Koehler would fill-in for him during freestyle, and Alex Blackwell would also fill-in for Mike in the tour's final stadium stop at the East Rutherford show. The truck would finish in last place in the point series standings. The truck received a new red rust paint scheme at Monster Jam World Finals XXI. Vendetta later gets a diecast release, but it uses '41 Willy's mold, instead of the 1949 Chevrolet. Later in the year, the truck receives a new Eddie chassis.
2023[]
In 2023, the truck competed on Stadium Series Red with the Eddie chassis. Mike and the truck get their first career freestyle win in Houston. They would follow up with a two-wheel skills win, as well as an overall event championship the following weekend in Minneapolis. At the Sunday show in Detroit, Mike did a backflip, but landed awkwardly & did a sidewall save attempt, which failed. Michael Pagliarulo fills in for Mike at the Atlanta shows. Mike finished 11th in the final standings. At the World Finals, Mike wins Breakout Driver of the Year with Camden Murphy. In October, Mike wins the West Coast Monster Truck Nationals in Red Bluff, California. The original chassis is sold to Elliott Miller and becomes Reckless Drivin'.
2024[]
In 2024, Mike drives the truck on the west stadium tour & finished last. The truck would grab its first racing win over Adam Anderson's Grave Digger (they previously faced off against each other on Syracuse the previous year, but with the opposite results) during one of the San Diego shows. The truck would have lots of mechanical issues throughout the season. Mike missed 4 straight freestyles in Anaheim (Feb. 18), Detroit & Arlington. Mike finally would freestyle at El Paso show 1. Mike & the truck missed 7 freestyles & 2 Great Clips skills challenges. Mike is invited to compete in the Last Chance Qualifying event at the World Finals. He would make it to the final round, only to lose to his teammate David Olfert in Velociraptor. The truck made its first video game appearance in Monster Jam Showdown.
In 2025, Mike will compete on the East stadium tour.
