Tony Canedo (nicknamed "The Flying Spaniard") (Born September 12th, 1963) is a monster truck driver out of Dixon, California. He is known for being the owner and driver of Play'n For Keeps since 2006. In addition, he is also the owner of the Survivor, Destroyer and Enforcer trucks. He also ran Danger Energy Shot for one show in Argentina.
History[]
Canedo started his motorsports career when he was 16, driving in demolition derbies. He later started competing in mud drags with his own 1979 Chevrolet Blazer, which he later replaced with a 1966 Chevrolet, which he built specifically for those competitions. Through mud dragging, he met Bill Payne, who let Canedo drive one of his trucks. This led to Canedo becoming interested in owning his own monster truck. In 2006, Canedo would buy the Play'n For Keeps from Jesse Birgy, who was retiring.
