Todd LeDuc (born on January 18th, 1979) is a monster truck driver out of Peoria, Arizona. He is currently one of various drivers of Megalodon, but is also famous for formerly driving trucks such as Metal Mulisha, Monster Energy/Mutant, and Blue Thunder.

Since his debut in 2011, Todd has become one of Monster Jam's most iconic and successful drivers, being one of the most commonly winning drivers on the sports. Throughout his career he has won two main field World Finals championships, winning the 2014 freestyle championship and the 2015 racing championship, and also winning three stadium championship series, winning his series in 2017, 2019, and 2020. Todd is also known for innovating a fan-favorite freestyle move in the sport called the "LeDuc Leap" which sees Todd during his first move hit a steep ramp at high speed and getting huge air-time.

Career[]

As the son of legendary off-road racer Curt LeDuc, Todd got his start the same way, competing in Lucas Oil Offroad Racing as he still does off and on to this day, and became well known across the circuit and winning a multitude of races.

In 2011, Todd began competing full-time in Monster Jam as rookie driver, beginning with Blue Thunder. During his rookie season, he would famously pick up his first stadium racing win in Phoenix, notably being a televised event.

In 2012, Todd debuted with the Metal Mulisha truck (aptly so, as he was a member before monster trucks) and won multiple events in his first season alone. During that year's World Finals, Brian Deegan was slated to drive the truck but due to an injury Todd took over, and would tie and eventually become the fastest qualifier at the event.

In 2014, Todd won the World Finals freestyle championship with a score of 37.5 in a field of 32 trucks with arguably the biggest air in a freestyle run at Las Vegas and has continued to dominate across the country and the globe since then. Said winning freestyle run would be the birth of Todd's famous "LeDuc Leap" move.

In 2015, Todd would follow up his championship and would win the racing championship. Said win would also be a part of three straight stadium racing events, being Oakland, the World Finals and the first event in Santa Clara. In Ocala, he competed on Team Bad Boys against Team Grave Digger.

In 2016, Todd would red-light in practice at the World Finals, causing him to be more cautious, causing him to be slower off the line then his opponents, despite this he would make it to the finals, but lost to Morgan Kane in the orange Grave Digger. He also drove Blue Thunder over the summer in Europe, winning freestyle in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and would double down in Frankfurt, Germany.

In 2017, Todd moved to the Monster Energy, due to Damon Bradshaw leaving Monster Jam. He competed on the FS1 Series West tour. He also provided commentary for the FS1 TV broadcasts alongside announcer Ryan LaCosse. He would win the series championship.

In 2018, Todd competed in Stadium Championship Series 1, where he finished 3rd place with 327 points. On February 28th, it was announced that Todd was invited to drive Mutant version of Monster Energy at World Finals XIX.

In 2019, Todd competed in Stadium Championship Series 3 and won the tour, getting an automatic bid to World Finals XX[1]. During said event, he would famously perform another LeDuc Leap, getting the biggest air of the event, and become arguably the most famous moment of the event. He was also invited to the All-Star Challenge by captain's choice. He was selected to Team Ice to drive Monster Energy.

In 2020, Todd would compete on Championship Stadium Series Red until the series would be postponed and eventually cancelled because of the pandemic. Todd was declared the tour champion as he was in the lead by the time the series was cancelled.

In 2021, Todd would compete on the short 2021 Stadium Championship Series after the return of Monster Jam against the most competitive line-up for a points series, with only a handful of drivers originally getting calls back to return. He would finish the tour in 2nd place, 20 points behind Ryan Anderson, temporarily driving Bakugan Dragonoid.

In 2022, due to Monster Energy's contract not being renewed, Todd returned to driving Blue Thunder in Stadium Championship Series Red. Although not winning and finish 3rd, he would be successful in the truck and he would also notably have more fun driving the truck, as Todd claimed that having a simple body style and not having to live up to a big sponsor made him feel like a calmer and freer driver. At World Finals XXI, he was one of 3 drivers to compete in all 4 competitions, the other drivers being Ryan Anderson and Tom Meents. In October, he drove Rod Ryan in Houston. In December, he drove Blue Thunder for the last time in Arnhem.

In 2023, Todd moves to Megalodon, competing on the red stadium tour again. He would win every competition during one of the Detroit shows. He would finish 6th at the end of the tour. On his Instagram, he would announce that his truck doesn't like Megalodon & that it should have a Blue Thunder, Metal Mulisha or Monster Energy body on it instead. He would later be invited to World Finals XXII in the brand new Megalodon Neon truck. There, he would notably perform the highest backflip in competition. He would place 3rd in freestyle. His brother passed away before the Superstar Challenge. He drove Megalodon Neon again for the Monster Jam Superstar Challenge under Team Neon in Anaheim.

In 2024, Todd drives Megalodon on Stadium Championship Series East, finishing 3rd. He would also switch to the West Series to drive Zombie in place of Bari Musawwir in Seattle, due to him competing in Birmingham. He would be invited to World Finals XXlll in Los Angeles. He drove Zombie again in Mexico City & San Juan, Puerto Rico.[2]

In 2025, he will drive Megalodon on the west stadium tour. He would win the skills challenge on his birthday in St. Louis at show 1.
