Timothy Thomas Mente (November 27th, 1967-April 9th, 2023) was a monster truck owner and driver out of Bethesda, Maryland. He was the owner and original driver of Storm Damage from 2006-2017 and teammate to Steven Thompson's Hurricane Force. He also owned Tow Mater at one point, which was driven by Jeff Bursey.
Career[]
Tim started driving in 2006 and hired Travis Mowery to drive Storm Damage after having purchased the Taurus III chassis from Michael Vaters.
In 2008, Tim served as a fill-in driver for Killer Bee at the Sunday show in Pittsburgh for an injured Tim Bee.
In 2012, Tim drove his other truck, Hurricane Force once. Tim drove Hot Tamale in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
In 2018, Tim drove Xtreme Diesel in Toronto, which would be his final appearance as a driver. From then on, he would stay behind the scenes as the crew chief for his truck.
In 2022, Tim's son CJ started driving Storm Damage. Tim & CJ both drove the truck in Hagerstown.
Death[]
On April 9th, 2023, Mente suddenly passed away.
Trivia[]
- Outside of monster trucks, Tim started a tree growing business. He even sponsored the business on his Storm Damage truck. The truck even said ''Who says money doesn't grow on trees?'' at one point.
