Monster Trucks Wiki

Thor is a custom 3D concept monster truck created by FELD Motorsports and owned by Marvel Comics based on the comic book character of the same name. The truck was originally created in 2012 as a custom Ford F-150 during Marvel's second contract with Monster Jam as one of two new Marvel-themed trucks that were exclusive to the European Monster Jam Tour, alongside Hulk, being driven by various drivers until 2014. The truck made its re-debut with the third renewal of the Marvel contract in 2023.

History[]

Generation 1[]

Thor debuted in Gothenburg, Sweden, on September 15th, 2012, with Adam Anderson behind the wheel. The truck also took part in the Team Marvel vs. Team Destruction competition in Arnhem.

In 2013, Thor was piloted by Grinder driver Frank Krmel. The truck again competed in Team Marvel vs. Team Destruction.

In 2014, Thor made its only appearance in North America performing as part of the encore at Monster Jam World Finals XV, driven by Chuck Werner. Later that year, the truck competed in the European tour again on the Man of Steel chassis with Randy Brown driving.

Generation 2[]

The third Marvel contract would be renewed with Monster Jam, where Thor would be the first of four Marvel trucks to debut in London on July 15th, 2023, along with Spider-Man, Black Panther and Iron Man. The truck would notably receive a new custom 3D concept body. It was driven by Myranda Cozad at this event. It is unknown if she will remain as the full-time driver of the truck. In London England, Myranda got her first stadium overall event win.

In 2024, Myranda continued driving the truck for international events. Jamie Sullivan drove the truck for its US debut in Glendale, Arlington and Houston. Two trucks were run for the first time since its original debut.

In 2025, Chelsea VanCleave drove the truck for international events. Cynthia Gauthier drove the truck in Gold Coast, Melbourne & Sydney, Australia. The truck will be shelved/retired at the end of the year, along with the other Marvel trucks.
