Monster Trucks Wiki

Sniper was a Chevrolet Silverado monster truck owned and driven by Wally Turner out of Utah. Since its debut in 2015, the truck was known for featuring strands of rope draped over its side panels.

History[]

2015[]

Sniper was originally created in 2015, after Wally Turner purchased the previous Maverik Monster Trakker chassis from Ron Ducombe. The truck would begin competition later in the year.

2017[]

Beginning this year, Sniper would receive an alternate name, being Stealth, which was first displayed at the Monster Jam World Finals XVIII pit party.

2022[]

The truck would last compete in 2022 as Turner would take 2023 off as a break.

2024[]

Turner would sell the truck to Lloyd Behunin, who would turn the truck into American Hero.

Trivia[]

  • The grill and tailgate of the truck said "Home of the Free, Because of the Brave".
  • The scope symbols on the side of the truck had the names of trucks that Turner has beaten, similar to the tombstones of Grave Digger.
  • Sniper was originally intended to debut at the Monster Jam World Finals XVI pit party in March 2015. However, the truck was not ready in time for said event. Despite this, Sniper was still mentioned in the World Finals XVI event planner.
  • The truck was originally going to make its competitive Monster Jam debut at a Santa Clara show as Stealth. Plans would fall through as the truck did not meet Monster Jam's specifications at the time.
  • Turner came up with the name after wanting to represent the military as well as keeping it related to Hit Man. He then found out Rob French owned the name from his Sniper. Turner called French and asked if he could run the name not as a continuation of his truck, but as the representation of the military. French would allow Turner to use the name as he believed Turner would make good use of it.
