Shane Phreed (Born February 15th, 1973) is a monster truck driver from Ft. Myers, Florida. Phreed has the 2nd most amount of trucks driven by one driver: 50. Kreg Christensen has the most at 67. Most notable are Hot Tamale, War Wizard and Robo Machine. He also drove Diesel Dave for a show in Chile & Espectacular 360 in Costa Rica. He is also the father of Faith Phreed.
Career[]
Equalizer Racing (2007-09)[]
Phreed began his monster truck career by driving Hot Tamale in 2007.[]
TK Motorsports (2010-14)[]
In 2010, Phreed joined TK Motorsports, where he became the new driver for the recently-introduced Robo Machine. In 2014, Shane drove Broken Skull on the Robo Machine chassis. He continued to drive for the team until it was acquired by Darren Migues.
War Wizard Racing (2016-17)[]
In 2016, Phreed took over the driving duties for War Wizard after Darrin Goin. He would also compete in that year's Fox Sports 1 Championship Series. In Lima, Peru, he drove Scotiabank.
Later years (2018-22)[]
In 2018, Phreed took over the driving duties for Monster Mutt, after its original driver, Kevin Crocker, retired following the end of the first quarter. He would drive Monster Mutt until May of that year, when teammate Pablo Huffaker would retire from driving.
In 2021, Phreed joined Monster Trucks Unlimited, driving Hooked.
In 2022, Shane drove Hooked on Arena Tour East & finished 6th. Later in the year, several drivers filled in for him, like Chad Tingler, Jon Zimmer Jr. in Dayton & Steven Thompson in Bridgeport. In December, his bio would be removed from Monsterjam.com.
In 2023, he drove Dysfunctional in North Carolina.
In 2024, he drove Dysfunctional in Radford, Virginia & Harrisburg, Illinois.
