Shaker is a 1967 Jeep Kaiser M715 monster truck owned by The Metal Shop Motorsports and driven by Ryan Disharoon out of Delmar, Delaware. The truck is a rebranding of Saigon Shaker, which is based around Disharoon's original mud truck of the same name. Despite the name change, the Shaker name has also competed in various independent events as well.

History[]

2021[]

Shaker was originally released as a diecast by Spin Master without the "Saigon" portion of the name. Although no official reason was given, it is speculated that it was done due to the monster truck toys being produced in Vietnam (where the city of Saigon was renamed to Ho Chi Minh City in 1975 following the end of the Vietnam War).

2023[]

Shaker would become a real truck as the name began competing on the Blue Stadium Tour, where it would finish 11th overall. The truck was unable to compete in its first event due to Ryan blowing a motor (similar to Max-D's 20th anniversary body). Unlike Max-D, however, due to San Diego having another show, this truck was able to compete in the second show, except for freestyle, due to transmission issues.

Shaker has run multiple variations of designs/logos for the 2023 season. One being a flat white logo on the camo body, another being the older logo with the images ghosted inside of it and the final being the metal tearing with a brighter version of the logo with images.

At one of the Anaheim shows, Ryan won racing over Ryan Anderson in Son-uva Digger.

Ryan & the truck got their first overall championship at the Saturday night El Paso show.

In Salt Lake City, the truck ended up in the stands during the skills challenge.

In July, despite the poor performance in the standings, the truck competed at World Finals XXII.

2024[]

Ryan competes on the east stadium tour, finishing 10th. A new chassis and paint scheme also debut as a memorial to Ryan's tenth year of driving, as well as a throwback to his father's Backdraft.

A Turtlebox-sponsored paint scheme also debuted in Houston.

In February, the regular design is run, starting in Indianapolis likely because of damage to the red body.

In Foxborough, a new split paint scheme debuted with the red design on the left, and a slightly updated normal design on the right.

In September, the split design returns in Woodstock, Georgia.

Late in the year, both Ryan and the truck's bios were removed from the Monster Jam website.

2025[]

In 2025, Ryan takes a break from Monster Jam to spend time with family. He returned in May for the Virginia Beach shows using the split design on Shaker.
