Scott Liddycoat (born October 14th, 1974) is a Canadian retired monster truck driver out of Burlington, Ontario. He was best known for driving Dragon for FELD Motorsports from 2014-2017 and won the 2016 Young Guns Shootout.
Career[]
Before beginning his career in monster trucks, Liddycoat competed as a professional speed boat racer.
In 2013, Scott drove Monster Mutt in Quincy, Illinois.
In 2014, Scott started driving Dragon's Breath. He also drove 106.7 D's The D-Molisher in the first show of Detroit. He would later be invited to compete in the Young Guns Shootout at World Finals XV. During the said event, he would be eliminated in round one by Travis Groth in Captain USA. Later in the year, Liddycoat would drive the recently-introduced Dragon (the successor to Dragon's Breath) as part of that year's Australian tour. He would also drive Spider-Man in Costa Rica that year.
In 2015, Scott would compete in his first full year of competition in Dragon, as he competed in various events throughout the first quarter. He would later be invited to compete in the Young Guns Shootout at World Finals XVI, where he was eliminated in round one of racing again, this time by Andrew Peckham in The Patriot.
In 2016, Scott would again be invited to compete in the Young Guns Shootout at World Finals XVII. That time, he would win the competition, defeating Tyler Menninga in Blue Thunder and earning the thirty-second and final slot in the main field. In the main event, he would be eliminated in round one of racing by Linsey Weenk in Lucas Oil Crusader and finished 24th in freestyle.
In 2017, Scott would compete in what would be his final season in his monster truck career. He would compete exclusively in international events throughout the season. He would later depart from FELD Motorsports and return to speed boat racing.
