Rodney Tweedy (born November 17th, 1969) is a monster truck driver out of Jonesboro, Illinois. He is the current driver of USA-1 under Triple B Motorsports. Rodney has been in the industry for over fifteen years and has driven many different trucks, but he is best known for driving Bigfoot.

Career[]

Rodney bought a ride truck in 2000 and debuted it the following year, being Captain USA. After a few years with the ride truck, he was bought out and hired by Paul Shafer, in which Shafer made Tweedy the Vice President of Paul Shafer Motorsports. Rodney's first time driving a monster truck in competition would be in Boogey Van, before he brought back his Captain USA name with an all new paint scheme and design, featuring his wife’s and kids' names on the side. He would go on to drive other names for Shafer as well, including Monster Patrol and Bear Foot.

In 2006, Rodney would be hired by Bigfoot 4x4, starting out driving Bigfoot 8 and then Bigfoot 10 a few months later. He also debuted a new Snake Bite paint scheme and identity, going by “Peter Python”.

In 2011, Rodney would retire from monster trucks.

Return[]

In 2017, Rodney would come out of retirement to rejoin Bigfoot 4x4. He would also bring along his son Logan Tweedy and they would take over Bigfoot 14. Rodney would debut another new Snake Bite identity, being Sid Sidewinder. He went on to tour with Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live before the pandemic put things to a stop in 2020. In 2021, Rodney only performed at two shows and filled in for Dillon Fenley in the King Krunch monster truck for a weekend.

In 2022, Rodney was hired by James Trantina of Triple B Motorsports to pilot the new USA-1 monster truck. His eldest son, Austin Tweedy, is currently the driver of Boss Gator and his second son, Logan Tweedy, is the driver of Bear Foot, while his third son, Cameron Tweedy, is the driver of the Carolina Crusher (Trantina) monster truck.
