Raminator is a 2020 Dodge RAM 2500 Power Wagon monster truck owned by Hall Bros. Racing out of Champaign, Illinois and driven by team owner Mark Hall & sometimes Dan Agosh. Since its debut in 2002, the truck has accumulated a multitude of championships in multiple monster truck leagues and even set the record for the fastest speed in a monster truck in 2014.
History[]
2002[]
Raminator was originally created in early 2002 and would eventually serve as the successor to Mark's previous truck, Executioner. The truck made its debut on January 19th at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, with Mark Hall driving.
In April the truck received a teammate in the form of Rammunition, and both trucks competed on the TRUXPO series that year. The season saw Raminator win in Daytona[1], and would win the overall points championship.[2]
Later that year, Hall would win the Family Events Monster Truck Drag Series, where he would go on to win eleven championships.
2004[]
A Raminator ride truck was constructed.
2005[]
Hall and Raminator swept the 2005 Monster Nationals championship.
2006[]
A new paint scheme would debut.
2009[]
Hall Bros. Racing received a sponsorship with Hotsy Pressure Washers. As a result, Raminator received a special hotsy-sponsored paint scheme.
2010[]
A new dark red paint scheme would debut. Both Raminator and Rammunition would receive their SPEED televised debuts in Indianapolis (although they had received European exclusive broadcast appearances prior in San Antonio and Minneapolis).
2014[]
Raminator debuted a new black paint scheme, featuring 3D Ram insignias. On December 16th, the truck set a new speed record in monster trucks at 99.1 mph.[3] The record stood until 2020, when Bryce Kenny in Mohawk Warrior broke the record with a speed of 100.3 mph.[4]
2016[]
Raminator received an updated body style, being a 2017 RAM 2500.
2017[]
A second Raminator was temporarily added to the team, being driven by Mike Miller (and occasionally Dale Benear in Sioux Falls, Winnipeg, and Lexington) on the hotsy chassis for the first quarter. Miller would drive his Raminator in Monster Jam Arena Championship Series 5, while Hall would compete in Stadium Championship Series 4. Mark would finish 7th at the end of the tour.
2018[]
Raminator competed in Stadium Championship Series 3. Prior to the series, the truck would compete in select shows for Stadium Championship Series 4.
2019[]
Hall Bros. Racing would begin competing in the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour. As a result, the team would not compete in any of the Monster Jam Points Championship Series that year, but would compete in select events in the league for the remainder of the season.
2020[]
Raminator competed in the Monster Jam Arena Championship Series. After the series abruptly ended in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Raminator competed in select events for the remainder of the season.
2021[]
Both Mark and Tim Hall were inducted into the International Monster Truck Hall of Fame.
2022[]
Raminator competed on Arena Championship Series Central alongside Rammunition, and would finish 7th and 8th respectively on the tour. The team also made an appearance on the east tour in Albany[5] and west tour in Moline[6], making it the only truck to compete on all 3 arena tours in the same season.
In January, Mark and the truck would grab a racing win in Kansas City.[7] Two weeks later in Newark, New Jersey, the truck would burst into flames during a freestyle competition, fortunately, Mark was uninjured in the accident.
In July, Kurt Kraehmer drove the truck in Hagerstown, Maryland.
In October, Kurt Kraehmer drove the truck again in Joliet, Illinois.[8]
2023[]
Mark drove Raminator on Arena Championship Series West and finished 7th. Meanwhile, former Rammunition driver Geremie Dishman drove the truck in Enid, Oklahoma.
2024[]
Mark Hall drives the truck on Arena Championship Series East and would finish 7th for the 3rd straight year. The truck would be invited to compete at a World Finals competition for the first time in the Last Chance Qualifying event.
2025[]
The truck competes on Arena Championship Series East again, finishing 7th for the 4th straight year.
In April, the team would not compete in Lincoln, Columbia or Colorado Springs due to Mark's mother suffering a stroke and fall. He decided to stay with her due to her condition being deemed inoperable, and she sadly passed away on April 24th.[1] As a result, Over Bored and Wild Side would compete in their places on the tour before the team returned for the series finale in Pensacola, Florida.
In June, a new black & yellow design is revealed. Dan Agosh drives the truck in Pittsburgh, while Mark drives his truck in Athens, Georgia.
2026[]
The truck, along with the rest of the team, is not scheduled to run in Monster Jam for unknown reasons.
