Monster Trucks Unlimited is an independent monster truck team that operates out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Stone Crusher[]
Stone Crusher was created in 2005 after Steve Sims purchased the original Backdraft chassis from Rick Disharoon. He would then hire Gary Wiggins, the driver of the original Mopar Magic, to drive the truck, as they both shared driving duties throughout the 2005 season. Steve made his first World Finals appearance in 2008 & his last in 2015. Steve would continue driving the truck until around 2020, when he slowly stepped back from full-time driving, only competing at select shows from now on. In 2023, Frank Krml would drive the truck. In 2024, Alex Bardin drove the truck for the first quarter. Bardin would leave the team halfway through the year to drive for Mitch Tulachka, before joining Team Throttle Monster in 2025. DJ Boltz would begin driving the truck in 2024. As of 2025, the truck currently runs as Bone Shaker for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live.
Pure Adrenaline[]
Pure Adrenaline was ran by Monster Trucks Unlimited in collaboration with Randy Brown who ran the original. It started on the former Little Tiger chassis. In late 2007, it would run as an alternative identity to Stone Crusher. It would run off and on through 2012 on the third chassis when all three Monster Trucks Unlimited chassis would be at events.
Mopar Magic[]
Mopar Magic was a Dodge Ram monster truck made after Sims purchased the original Mopar Magic from Jack Brady. It would replace Pure Adrenaline on the second chassis with Gary Wiggins driving before Ricky Ownley and Morgan Kane would take over.
Monster Magic[]
After a copyright issue with Chrysler, Mopar Magic was renamed Monster Magic for 2011. In its debut show, Morgan would win racing over Son-uva Digger. Bryan Wright and Morgan would share driving duties. The truck would be retired after debuting Hooked.
Hooked[]
Hooked debuted on May 13th, 2012, at Monsters on the Beach in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with a Cadillac Escalade body, with Steven Sims behind the wheel. In 2017, the truck debuted a new Chevrolet Silverado body style that still runs to this day. Bryan Wright would then start driving beginning in 2017 up until 2021. Shane Phreed and Chad Tingler would both drive the truck in 2022. In 2023 and 2024, the truck would run as Zombie with Frank Krmel behind the wheel. As of 2025, the truck currently runs as Mega-Wrex for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live.
