Michael "Mike" Wales (1957-January 28th, 2016) was a part-time monster truck driver of several trucks, who later served as the Director of Fleet Operations for Monster Jam and FELD Motorsports. He helped Todd Leduc & possibly other drivers get into Monster Jam.
Career[]
He started his career driving Liquidator in the early 1990's, working for Bob Fisher.
After five years of driving the truck, Wales began working for Monster Jam as a competition director, and eventually the Director of Fleet Operations. This meant he was in charge of overseeing the maintenance of all company-owned monster trucks, as well as hiring various drivers.
In 2000, Wales drove Wrenchead.com in Anaheim while Lyle Hancock was driving Grave Digger, as well as doing displays with various company trucks.
Death and legacy[]
On January 28th, 2016, Mike passed away.
In 2021, Wales was posthumously inducted to the Monster Jam Hall Of Fame along with Gary Porter.
