Monster Trucks Wiki

Mega-Bite is a 2004 custom Chevrolet S-10 3D dog concept monster truck owned by Team Scream Racing out of Columbus, Michigan. The truck served as the second of two sister trucks to Brutus, alongside Spike Unleashed. Mega-Bite was originally used on the Spike chassis until 2014, when it was transferred to the Brutus chassis, where it competed until 2015, being driven by Brad Allen. Since then, Mega-Bite has competed on and off the Brutus chassis to this day, competing in select shows under Chris Koehler. The theme song is also used for Brutus.

History[]

Mega-Bite was first unveiled to the public on March 23rd, 2012, at the Monster Jam World Finals XIII pit party in Las Vegas, Nevada. The truck would begin competition later that year, serving as the initial successor to Spike Unleashed, with Brad Allen behind the wheel. Chris Bergeron would drive the truck in Monroe, Michigan. Mega-Bite continued to compete on the previous Spike Unleashed chassis until the end of the 2013 season.

Following the retirement of Brutus driver Chris Bergeron, Brutus’ chassis would be converted into Mega-Bite as the previous chassis would return to competing as Spike. Mega-Bite continued to compete on the Brutus chassis until 2016, when Brutus returned to full-time competition on said chassis.

Since then, Mega-Bite had competed on and off the chassis for select shows, with its most recent appearance being at the O'Reilly Outlaw Nationals event in Miami, Oklahoma on June 9th, 2018, with Chris Koehler driving, which marked his debut.

In 2024, the truck returned under Jon Koehler in Fowlerville, Michigan, as the replacement for Rage. He also drove the truck for other Summer shows. The truck would later make its first video game appearance in Monster Jam Showdown in the form of a free DLC that was released on November 28. A fire version of the truck would also make its debut.
