In 2014, Trey Myers retired, leading to Cody to take his spot driving Iron Warrior full time.

In 2015, Cody entered his first full season of competing in Monster Jam driving a second Black Stallion.

For the summer of 2016, Cody filled-in as the driver of Bounty Hunter and Iron Outlaw for 2Xtreme Racing. He later drove Overkill Evolution in Woodstock.

During said event, he would defeat Matt Pagliarulo in Jester in round 1, but would be unable to return to round 2, as the truck lost a tire in the process.

In 2018, Cody competed on Triple Threat Series East for the 2018 season, and would finish seventh in the series standings. He would later compete in the Double Down Showdown at World Finals XIX, where he would be eliminated in round 1 by Kayla Blood in El Toro Loco.

In 2019, Cody returned to competing on Triple Threat Series Central, and finished 6th in the series standings. He would later be invited to compete in the speedster competitions at World Finals XX. Cody experienced a rather rough start for Friday speedster competitions, as he would be eliminated in round 1 of Speedster racing by Tyler Menninga in Grave Digger, and in the semi-final round of Speedster Obstacle Course by Blake Granger in Max-D. He would later face off against Mark List in El Toro Loco for the third place race, which he ultimately lost. The Saturday Speedster competitions would mark a breakthrough improvement for Cody. In Speedster racing, he would be defeated by Brandon Vinson in Grave Digger in the semi-final round, but would win the third place race against Bernard Lyght in Alien Invasion. Meanwhile, Cody was initially eliminated in the semi-final round of the Speedster Obstacle Course competition again by Granger in Max-D. However, Granger was unable to return for the championship race, which resulted in Cody advancing as the fastest loser. Cody would go on to defeat Armando Castro in El Toro Loco, and achieved the most total points for the Speedster Obstacle Course competition, resulting in him winning his first-ever world championship.

Following the World Finals, Cody would receive a new chassis for his truck, which made its first competition appearance at East Rutherford in June. Later in August, Cody would win five competitions at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, which culminated in Cody winning his first overall event championship in nearly two years. He would eventually dedicate his championship to fellow driver Mike Thompson, who had taken his own life just before the event took place.

In 2020, Cody would again compete on Triple Threat Series Central in 2020 and finished 4th after the series abruptly ended in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cody would drive Iron Warrior for select shows throughout the season.

In 2024, Cody drove Grave Digger for international events. In Oklahoma City, Portland & Wichita, he drove Grave Digger as a fill-in for Brandon Vinson. It was later revealed that he would take over for the rest of the season because Brandon retired to focus on his construction business. He would not compete in Fresno since he was originally scheduled for the international tour, which started the same day as the Fresno shows, leading to Tyler Menninga to drive Grave Digger for those shows since his tour was off. Matt would win the Arena Championship Series West in Charlotte, but would give the automatic invite to Dalton Widner instead, although he was present at the event, signing autographs.

In 2025, Cody competed on Arena Series Central, making it the first full season that he does not drive Grave Digger on the international tour. He would finish 2nd. Cody will drive JCB DIGatron in Melbourne filling in for Brandon Arthur.
