Lucas Stabilizer (Also labeled as Lucas Oil Stabilizer) is a custom Peterbilt semi monster truck owned by FELD Motorsports and sponsored by Lucas Oil Products Inc. It is driven by Cynthia Gauthier. Despite the name, it has no relationship with the Team Beast Racing truck of the same name.

History[]

Lucas Stabilizer was first announced in late 2021 as a brand-new truck for the 2022 Monster Jam Season Kickoff. The truck was later unveiled the following year on January 15th for the opening event of Stadium Championship Series Red at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. During the series, Gauthier and the truck won two freestyle championships at both of the first shows at Tampa and Detroit. The truck would finish eighth in the points standings, and would be invited to compete in Monster Jam World Finals XXI in both the main field and the high jump competition.

In 2023, the truck runs on the Stadium Championship Series Blue. Throughout the year, she would be very successful, winning various skills and freestyle wins. Kristen Bell got to drive the truck in Los Angeles for an exhibition. She would eventually finish fifth in the point stands and would eventually be invited to compete at Monster Jam World Finals XXII. Linsey Read and the truck would be drafted to compete at the Superstar Challenge in Anaheim.

In 2024, the truck competes on the east stadium tour, finishing 8th. Cynthia temporarily steps down due to becoming pregnant. Linsey Read took her place for the 2024 season, although Charlie Pauken would take over for the Houston stop, making him the first male driver for the truck. The truck made its video game debut in Monster Jam Showdown that same year. The truck would also have Jamie Sullivan drive it in Syracuse because Linsey was attending her daughters go cart race. In Foxborough, Linsey would win freestyle in the mud. Linsey would later be invited to World Finals XXlll in Los Angeles & made her high jump debut at that event. She would retire after the event to focus on her children. Cynthia returned to the driver's seat for Monster Jam's event in East Rutherford in June.

In 2025, Cynthia would compete on the East stadium tour & finished 7th. She got a new blue firesuit. At show 1 in Indianapolis, she got her first career stadium racing win. She would be invited to compete at the World Finals.

Trivia[]

  • Lucas Stabilizer is the first truck owned by FELD Motorsports to use a semi-truck body style.
  • The overall design of Lucas Stabilizer is based on the origin of Lucas Oil, as founder Forrest Lucas originally worked as a trucker.
  • Lucas Stabilizer is the second truck created by FELD Motorsports to be sponsored by Lucas Oil, the first being Crusader.
  • Linsey Read is the second driver named Linsey to drive a Lucas Oil sponsored truck. Linsey Weenk was the first, who drove Lucas Oil Crusader from 2011 - 2020. The only difference is Weenk is male, while Read is female.
  • Lucas Stabilizer is equipped with a HornBlasters Safety Horn, which the driver can activate via a switch located in the truck's cab, similar to Krazy Train, Dirt Crew & Train Wreck.
    • The horn honk has become an instant trademark for Cynthia in every show the truck competes in. Cynthia blasts the horn during the start of every skills and freestyle, and the fans do the trucker horn honk for support in return.
  • The original main name for the truck before its debut was originally "Lucas Oil Stabilizer" before being shortened as "Lucas Stabilizer", removing the word "oil".
    • While it's not publicly stated why the name change was made, it's speculated the change was made due to a truck by the same name already having existed, said truck also having a Lucas Oil sponsorship.
  • The 3D render for Lucas Stabilizer revealed on the 2022 preview show on NBC was created by Starr Creations.
