Joey Parnell (born February 21st, 1978) is a retired monster truck driver out of Norfolk, Virginia. He drove for Randy Brown Motorsports from 2010-2014, driving El Toro Loco, and most notably, Man of Steel in its lone season.
Career[]
Joey began driving in 2010, driving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, after he had met Randy Brown at a Monster at the Beach event, as he was running his tough truck. Randy at the time was looking for a new driver for his team.
In 2011, Joey drove El Toro Loco.
In 2012, Joey participated in the inaugural Young Guns Shootout, driving TMNT, which would end up being the truck's final competition appearance.
In 2013, Joey would drive Superman until 2014, where it was converted to Man of Steel to promote the 2013 movie of the same name. Later that year, he would drive Hooked in West Lebanon, New York.
In 2014, Joey would drive Man of Steel up until World Finals XV, where Randy Brown drove it. Parnell drove the truck until its discontinuation and retired shortly thereafter.
