Hotsy is a 2015 Dodge RAM Heavy Duty monster truck owned by Hall Bros. Racing out of Champaign, Illinois. It is sponsored by the pressure washer company of the same name, who currently serves as a major sponsor for the team. Since its debut in 2013, the truck has been driven by various drivers, with its most current being Kurt Kraehmer since 2018. Hotsy currently competes alongside teammate trucks Raminator and Rammunition, the former of which featured a Hotsy-sponsored paint scheme prior to Hotsy's actual debut in 2013.
History[]
In 2006, Hall Bros. Racing had a display at an event with the Hotsy Pressure Washers booth right across from them. Mark & Tim wanted a better way to clean their truck, so they looked at the Hotsy machines & bought one. Although Hotsy originally debuted in 2013, Hall Bros. Racing’s sponsorship with the company goes back as early as 2009, when the sponsorship contract was first signed. Afterwards, Raminator would receive a Hotsy-sponsored paint scheme throughout the 2009 season, with Mat Dishman driving. The truck was used for promotional & display purposes for about 4 years.
Hotsy made its official debut four years later in 2013, with Mike Miller behind the wheel. The following year, the truck would be shelved, as the chassis was used to campaign Mopar Muscle throughout the entire 2014 season. Hotsy returned to competition the following year, as Dale Benear shared driving duties with Miller.
In 2016, Hotsy received a new paint scheme, featuring custom flame-shaped RacerBacks. In the following year, the truck would temporarily compete as a second Raminator in Monster Jam Arena Championship Series 5, with Miller driving. Hotsy would compete in the series’ finale at BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi with Benear driving.
In 2018, Kurt Kraehmer joined the team, driving the truck in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 4. Miller would later leave Hall Bros. Racing that October after being hired out by Bigfoot 4x4. Kraehmer would eventually assert full-time driving duties for Hotsy.
In 2019, Hotsy received a new paint scheme, being black and red. The truck competed in the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour that year, as well as select Monster Jam events in the fall.
In 2022, the truck made its Monster Jam return on said league's central arena tour. Kurt also drove Rammunition on the tour. He finished 8th. Hotsy went back to the red design on the tour.
In 2023, the truck competes in select shows for the west arena tour in Monster Jam. Kurt finished 8th. In the team's hometown of Champaign, Illinois, Dan Agosh drives the truck.
In 2024, the truck ran certain arena shows on the east arena tour with Kurt Kraehmer driving. At a non points event in Tupelo, Mississippi, Kurt won racing at show 3. This is his first known win in Monster Jam. At the first Macon, Georgia show, Kurt would roll the truck after a failed stoppie attempt. Kurt finishes 8th for the 3rd straight year.
In 2025, Kurt will drive the truck for certain shows on the east arena tour once again.
