Grave Digger 4 was the fourth Grave Digger chassis, which debuted in 1991 by Jack Koberna primarily on the west coast under a franchise agreement with Grave Digger creator and then-owner Dennis Anderson. This was the first Grave Digger chassis to not be built by Dennis Anderson.
History[]
This truck was built using an older style leaf spring chassis as opposed to the newer tube chassis, which had been used on Grave Digger 3, though did feature a fiberglass body as on newer trucks.
After Koberna's franchise ended in 1993, the truck was sold and became Mr. Big.
Pablo Huffaker shortly after began using the fiberglass body from Grave Digger 4 on his second Jus' Show N Off chassis as part of a short-term deal with Anderson. Although not actually numbered, some have referred to Huffaker as a former driver of Grave Digger 4, because he reused the body from #4. After the franchise was made permanent, Huffaker built a new truck, Grave Digger 10, which is correctly numbered.
Trivia[]
- Although build by Koberna, Dennis Anderson autographed the frame of Grave Digger 4 several years later, though he mislabeled it as "Grave Digger V", leading to further confusion about the numbering of early trucks.
