Monster Trucks Wiki

Grave Digger 31 was a Cohen-designed chassis Chevrolet Panel truck race truck driven by Brandon Vinson from 2018 - 2019. The truck debuted in 2016, driven by Cole Venard through March 2017. After Venard's departure from Team Grave Digger, Randy Brown took over driving duties for a part of 2018. In the summer of the same year, Vinson took over the truck. The truck was retired after World Finals XX, as Brandon broke in Grave Digger 41 the same year after the event. Grave Digger 31 was the 31st Grave Digger chassis, built by FELD Motorsports.

History[]

Grave Digger 31 was constructed in late 2015, and began competition at the start of the 2016 Monster Jam season with Cole Venard behind the wheel. During its first full year of competition, Venard the truck competed in Monster Jam AMSOIL Series East, which they would go on to win. This resulted in both Venard and Grave Digger 31 being automatically invited to compete in World Finals XVII, where the truck received a special purple paint scheme for the occasion. Venard and the truck would be eliminated in round 1 of racing by Todd LeDuc in Metal Mulisha, and finished 4th in freestyle after going out first.

In 2017, Vernard and Grave Digger 31 would compete in Monster Jam Triple Threat Series West, which they would go on to win again. Cole would later retire just before World Finals XVIII to raise his newborn daughter (He would later return to the sport driving The Black Pearl). Randy Brown would drive Grave Digger 31 for the rest of the 2017 season

In 2018, Randy Brown would continue to drive Grave Digger 31, and would compete in Stadium Championship Series 4, were they would finish 4th. Brandon Vinson would take over driving duties in the summer of that year.

In 2019, Brandon Vinson would continue driving Grave Digger #31 in the Monster Jam Triple Threat Series Central, which they would win. They would automatically be invited to compete in World Finals XX. Vinson would be eliminated in round 1 of racing by Cynthia Gauthier in Monster Mutt Dalmatian Ice, and would finish 16th in freestyle after going out first. Grave Digger 31 would be retired afterwards, as Vinson would go on to debut Grave Digger 41 later that year.
