Grave Digger 11 is the eleventh Grave Digger chassis, and the ninth built by Dennis Anderson. It is the second of three Grave Digger ride trucks, the others being Grave Digger 9 and Grave Digger 40.
History[]
Grave Digger 11 was built in 1996.
1997 Wildwood incident[]
The truck would be involved in an incident where the truck rolled over while there were passengers inside, luckily nobody was killed but many were injured.
1998[]
Dennis would end up selling the ride truck before selling the Grave Digger team to PACE Motorsports.
Owner changes[]
From 1998-2012 the truck underwent various owner changes. All of these trucks shared the same body style as the original Grave Digger 11.
2000[]
The truck went on to be sold to Don Magrini who converted the truck into Thrill Seeker which ran from 2000-2003.
2003-2011[]
The truck was sold to Randy Moore, who converted it into the War Wizard ride truck and ran it until at least 2008. Moore sold the truck to Randy Brown, who converted it into the Pure Adrenaline ride truck from then until 2011.
2012[]
In a full-circle moment, the truck was converted back into Grave Digger which it is to this day. Since being converted back to a Grave Digger ride it has been present at many Monster Jam events, although Grave Digger 40 has become more common in recent years, and even provided rides at Monster Jam's 2016 Osaka, Japan event.
2020[]
The truck inspired its own ride truck chase-piece 1:64 from Spin Master.
Trivia[]
- This was the Grave Digger ride truck that rolled over, not Grave Digger 9. The axles are wider than 9's. The wheelbase is longer on 11 than on 9 as well.
- While the body on the Monster Jam toy by Spin Master resembles 11, the leaf-spring chassis is more accurate to 9.
- This is technically the oldest Grave Digger chassis that still runs today even though it's a ride truck and not a race truck.
