Fluffy was a Volkswagen Type 2 monster truck owned and driven by Kevin King out of Waycross, Georgia. The truck was sponsored by comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, hence the truck's name. Originally created in 2016, Fluffy served as the initial successor to King's previous truck, Strait Jacket, competing on said truck's chassis until the end of 2019, when the truck was retired, following the end of the sponsorship.
History[]
Before the start of the 2016 season, Kevin King received a sponsorship from comedian Gabriel Iglesias, leading to the creation of Fluffy. The truck would debut on January 8 in Birmingham, Alabama, featuring a Ford F-250 Super Duty body style.
In 2017, Fluffy debuted an all-new design, featuring a Volkswagen Type 2 body style. King and the truck competed in the FS1 Championship Series East. A new paint scheme debuted the following year.
Fluffy would go on hiatus for a majority of the 2019 season, as the chassis was used for the filming of Zombieland: Double Tap. Meanwhile, King would briefly join Team Scream Racing, driving Monster Mutt (On the Axe/Wrecking Crew chassis) in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 3. Fluffy would resume competition afterwards, until the sponsorship ended by the end of the 2019 season. After its final show on December 8, Fluffy was retired, and King would resume driving Strait Jacket.
Trivia[]
