Obsessed is a Ford monster truck owned by Rick Swanson of Obsession Racing out of Rupert, Idaho. It is driven by his son, Eric Swanson. Since its debut in 2011, the truck has competed in multiple monster truck events across the west coast, alongside its teammate, Obsession. The truck has also been primarily used to sponsor the Swanson's' clothing brand, Obsessed Wear, since 2018.

History[]

Obsessed originally debuted on March 27, 2009 as a display at Monster Jam World Finals X. The truck would later begin competition under Eric Swanson. Due to Eric being only 15 years old at the time, his father, Rick Swanson, would drive the truck at Monster Jam due to Eric not meeting the league’s age requirements which is 18. The truck ran as King Krunch for one show in 2009 & once more in 2012.

In 2013, Obsessed debuted a new design, featuring a Ford F-150 trophy truck body style. Eric would later begin driving Obsession full-time the following year, as he entered his first full season of competition in Monster Jam.

In 2016, Obsessed received an updated paint scheme. Eric would also win his first major freestyle championship in San Diego that year. Both truck and driver would be invited to compete in the Young Guns Shootout at Monster Jam World Finals XVII. The truck would also debut a new chassis later in the year, with the previous being used as a new chassis for Obsession. The truck ran as Bigfoot for a show as a fill-in.

In 2017, Obsessed competed in the FS1 Championship Series West. During the series, Eric would win two wheelie championships in Anaheim and Jacksonville, respectively, while also taking home another freestyle championship in the second Anaheim show. Obsessed would ultimately finish ninth in the series standings. Both truck and driver would again be invited to compete in the Double Down Showdown at Monster Jam World Finals XVIII, where they would debut a new body style, being a 1968 Ford F-100. During the Showdown, they would make it all the way to the championship round, but would crash in the process, losing to Tristan England in Earth Shaker.

Obsessed would receive another new chassis in 2018, with the previous one also being used as a new chassis for Obsession. Eric and the truck competed in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 2, where they would compete exclusively in shows throughout the west coast. During the series, Swanson would win an overall event championship in Nampa, but finished thirteenth in the standings. The chassis would also be used to display Wicked Strong at the Monster Jam World Finals XIX pit party. The following year, the truck received a slightly updated design, featuring a white logo. Eric and the truck would compete in various events for both Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 1 and 2. During the latter series, they won their first racing championship in Anaheim.

In 2020, Obsessed debuted a new paint scheme, and would compete in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 3. Eric and the truck would finish ninth in the standings, as the series would abruptly end in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new paint scheme would also be short-lived, as the truck would resume using its previous scheme sometime later. Obsessed would receive a new white paint scheme sometime during the 2021 season. The following year, the truck received another new scheme. After selling one of the older chassis in 2022, Obsessed was put on hold, while a new chassis would be created. During early 2023, Eric Swanson would drive its teammate truck Wild Card (Obsession). A slightly updated scheme also debuts.

In 2023, Obsessed received a brand new CRD chassis.
