Monster Trucks Wiki

Dragon's Breath was a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette ProMod monster truck owned by FELD Motorsports and driven by Scott Liddycoat. The truck was created as the new name for Spitfire, which was due to copyright issues with trademarking the original name. After being released under the Hot Wheels Monster Jam diecast line in 2009, Dragon's Breath was created as a full-sized monster truck two years later.

History[]

Dragon's Breath was originally announced in late 2010, as a new truck for the 2011 Monster Jam season, with former Nitro Circus crew chief Becky McDonough as the driver. McDonough would drive the truck throughout her first full season of Monster Jam in 2011, until she moved to El Toro Loco the following year, resulting in Dragon's Breath being retired for the time being.

Two years after its initial retirement, Dragon's Breath was brought back into competition as a placeholder for Dragon, which was still being constructed by the start of the season. Rookie driver Scott Liddycoat took over the driving duties, and both truck and driver would be invited to compete in the Young Guns Shootout at Monster Jam World Finals XV. Following the debut of Dragon on June 14, Dragon's Breath was ultimately retired, and the chassis would be converted into the former truck.
