Morgan Kane (Born March 24th, 1990) is a former driver from Currituck, North Carolina. He won the first #MoreMonsterJam championship and the 2016 World Finals racing championship.

Career[]

In 2010, Morgan began working for Steve Sims by driving Mopar Magic.

In 2011, driving Monster Magic, Morgan earned his first big achievement by defeating Ryan Anderson in Son-Uva Digger in the finals and winning his first major stadium event in Minneapolis.

In 2012, Morgan began piloting a second Stone Crusher, even competing in the first Young Guns Shootout. He also drove El Toro Loco in Atlanta. In Naples, Florida, he drove Pure Adrenaline, winning one of the racing competitions. He drove Hulk for the 2012 European tour. In Harrington, Delaware, he drove Monster Mutt.

In 2013, Morgan left Monster Trucks Ltd. and began driving for FELD Motorsports with a year behind the wheel of Iron Man. He drove Superman for an encore with Batman & Jon Zimmer in East Rutherford.

In 2014, Morgan moved to Max-D to fill the spot left by Kreg Christensen. In Foxborough, he drove Metal Mulisha.

In 2015, Morgan took place in the inaugural #MoreMonsterJam tour and won the championship, thereby being invited to compete in his first World Finals.

In 2016, Morgan began driving Grave Digger for the West More Monster Jam tour after being traded for Colton Eichelberger and won the West coast More Monster Jam tour. Morgan Kane would win the Monster Jam World Finals 17 racing championship, driving the orange livery Grave Digger. Morgan then drove Team Hot Wheels Firestorm in the Philippines.

In 2017, Morgan competed on the FS1 East Coast Stadium Series, where he finished in second place behind Linsey Weenk in Lucas Oil Crusader. In Alxa, China, he drove Blue Thunder. Then in Beijing, China, he drove Dragon.

In 2018, Morgan competed on Stadium Tour 3, where he would win the series, getting an automatic invite to World Finals 19.

In 2019, Morgan competed on Stadium Series 1, where he finished in 5th place.

In 2020, Morgan competed on Stadium Series Green, where he would finish 3rd before all events would be cancelled in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Morgan would remain on hiatus for a majority of the year before returning in September in Cincinnati, though for the time, returning to Monster Trucks Unlimited's team to drive Hooked. This would be his first time driving for the team since 2012 and it would also be his last show. This also made him the third (former) Grave Digger driver to return to Monster Jam with MTU's team. The others were Chad Tingler and Charlie Pauken.

In 2022, Morgan returned to provide commentary for the World Finals television episode. He now works for Team Penske in NASCAR, though he has stated on social media that he still expresses interest in competing in Monster Jam in the future.

In 2023, Morgan was an announcer at World Finals XXII.

  • Morgan, despite having close ties to the Andersons as he grew up with Adam and Ryan, he started off driving Mopar/Monster Magic, Stone Crusher, Iron Man, El Toro Loco, Monster Mutt, Maximum Destruction until 2016, Hot Wheels Firestorm in the Philippines (2016) then switched over to Grave Digger. He also drove Hooked in 2021. Morgan has also driven Dragon, Thor, Hulk, Pure Adrenalin, Metal Mulisha & Blue Thunder.
  • Morgan is a soccer player in his down time.
  • The orange Grave Digger returned for World Finals 22, driven by Weston Anderson.
