Eric Meagher (Born May 11th, 1967) is a retired monster truck driver out of O’Fallon, Missouri. He was known for driving Bigfoot, as well as its teammate trucks. He was also the co-founder and president of the ProMT series.

Career[]

Eric began working for Bigfoot in July of 1991. His reasoning was because he “wanted to work with the best of the business”. Before becoming a driver for them in 1992.

From 1994-1995, Meagher finished 3rd place in the Penda Points Series, he finished 2nd in 1996.

In 1997, Meagher won the PENDA Point Series championship.

In 1998, Meagher won the USA Motorsports Monster Truck Challenge. Hwould drive Bigfoot in Stafford Springs, which would be the final Monster Jam event Bigfoot would compete in (minus an appearance at the FORD 100th anniversary event in 2003 which was USHRA sanctioned). He retired from driving at year's end.

In 1999, Meagher co-founded the ProMT series, and served as their president.

In 2000, Meagher was involved in the creation of Monster Trux 2000, which was sanctioned by ProMT.

In 2021, Meagher would give a speech at the Monster Jam Hall of Fame, even recognizing Eric as a “Former Bigfoot Driver”.
