Ed Eckert (born May 10th, 1965) is a semi-retired monster truck driver out of Detroit, Michigan. Ed was also from Howard City, Michigan & Newaygo, Michigan. He was most notable for owning and driving Fullboar. Ed has since moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. He usually ran the Thunder Nationals & other arenas. He was known for his donuts. He only ran a few stadium shows. He has been married to his wife Chris since 2010 & they have one daughter, 2 stepsons & 10 grandchildren. Ed put his entire operation up for sale on RacingJunk for $260,000, although it was de-listed & then re-listed a few times.
Career[]
Prior to monster truck racing, Ed owned and operated Ed's Auto Repair, which he currently continues to do. He suffered a motorcycle accident which resulted in a broken right arm and left leg.
In 2002, Ed and his truck Fullboar made their official debut in Montgomery, Alabama.
In 2007, he competed at an event in Israel.
In 2008, Ed won the Rising Star of the Year award.
In 2016 in Huntsville, he drove Pouncer.
Ed’s final season in Monster Jam was in 2017.
In 2024, he returned to drive Bucking Bronco in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. In Peterborough, Ontario & in Hepworth, Ontario, he drove the truck again. He returned to driving Fullboar in Coeburn, Virginia.
