Don Frankish (born October 18th, 1964) is a monster truck owner and former driver out of Lethbridge, Alberta, who is known for being the owner/original driver of Maniac, as well as the original owner of Jurassic Attack.
Career[]
Don originally started truck and tractor pulling at age 16. He began driving Maniac in 1984 as a mud bogger.
In 1990, Don bought Knight Warrior, which he converted into Maniac.
In 1992, Don's brother Kirk Frankish purchased Taurus I and converted it into Wild Thing.
In 2007, Don leased the Jurassic Attack name to Monster Jam for them to run it in the 2007 and 2008 European Tours. In Cardiff, he would pull off an insane save that would make him win freestyle, he would win Save of the Year.
In 2011, Don drive Time Flys at an independent monster truck event in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
In 2013, he got a brand-new black body for Maniac. He then leased the truck to Dave Smith, who runs it on the original Jurassic Attack chassis.
In 2019, he returned to drive Extreme in Australia.
He used to own Rush Hour, which was a temporary name for Maniac, as well as Young Gun.
In 2020, he would collaborate with Team Throttle Monster to revive Jurassic Attack after almost a decade of it being retired, before officially selling the Jurassic Attack name to them in 2023, making them the owners.
