David Sparks (more commonly known as Heavy D) (born January 5th, 1985) is the co-owner of DieselSellerz LLC. out of Bountiful, Utah. He is most known for his role on the reality TV show "Diesel Brothers" which aired on the Discovery Channel from 2016 to 2020. In terms of monster trucks, he was the main driver of BroDozer from 2018-2020.
Career[]
In 2018, Sparks drove Grave Digger 30 for a donut contest against Diesel Dave in Max-D prior to the freestyle competition at World Finals XIX. In June, he would debut Brodozer in Nashville after the truck was delayed for the entire season. He was briefly suspended after colliding with Lucas Oil Crusader during his freestyle run.
In 2019, Sparks won both Anaheim freestyles during the weekend. At World Finals XX, he finished 5th in freestyle despite his run being very short.
In 2020, both Sparks and Colt Stephens would rotate driving Brodozer on Stadium Championship Series Green until the tour was cut short due to the pandemic. He returned to drive Brodozer in August at the Breaking World Records event to perform a monster truck drag race against David Kiley, who would win the race.
In 2022, Sparks drove Wrecking Machine in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
In 2024, Sparks and Kiley made a surprise return at the Salt Lake City event. At World Finals XXIII, they both would be the 3rd and 4th professional judge, along with Tom Meents, Bernard Lyght & Rosalee Ramer.
In 2025, he was one of the guest judges at the World Finals in Salt Lake City. In October, he would be arrested for failing to pay $850k in environmental lawsuit fees.
