Daniel Donnelly (born October 9th, 1998) is a monster truck driver and crew member out of Scotch Plains, New Jersey. He is a driver and crew member for Vaters Motorsports since 2020, and primarily drives Taurus, but has also driven Buffalo Tremor.
Career[]
Donnelly began his career in the sport as a volunteer for Vaters Motorsports when he was in his teen years. He progressed to becoming the driver of the Mopar 1 ride truck for KSR Motorsports at the age of 17.
In 2020, Dan was the crew chief for Blue Thunder through Vaters Motorsports on Triple Threat Series Central.
In 2023, Dan made his professional driving debut in Warsaw, IN behind-the-wheel of Taurus for Vaters Motorsports. From July to October of that year, Donnelly drove for Vaters Motorsports full-time, running the Buffalo Tremor and Taurus identities during that time frame, competing in both the United States and Canada. He earned several competition victories in his short stint with the team.
In 2024, Dan drove Toxic in Du Quoin, Illinois. In July, he would return to drive Taurus in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In October, he drove Illuminator in Raleigh, North Carolina.
