Colt Cobra was Gene Patterson's alter ego when he drove Snake Bite from the fictional town of Cobra Creek, Colorado. Other drivers of Snake Bite have used the personas of "Ricky Rattler", or "Vic Venom".

- Colt made an appearance at World Finals 12 despite Bigfoot 4x4 pulling out of Monster Jam 13 years prior.
- Colt made an appearance at the International Monster Truck Hall of Fame when Gene was inducted in 2015.
- Colt reappeared at a 2016 Monster Truck Nationals event in Sioux City, Iowa to promote the truck's "Retro Red" design.
