Not to be confused with Paul Shafer Motorsports’ truck of the same name.
Captain USA (formerly known as Captain America) is a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 monster truck owned and driven by Jeff Bainter out of Yakima, Washington. The truck has had several drivers pilot the truck over the years, including Travis Groth, Roger Stidell, and currently Dawson Rayas.
History[]
1998[]
The truck was built and later debuted as Captain America.
2004[]
The truck was renamed to "Captain USA" in order to avoid conflict with the character of the same name. The name "Captain USA" would be leased from Paul Shafer Motorsports as it was owned by said team which ran their own Captain USA. That same year, the truck would temporarily run as "The Captain".
2006[]
Roger Stidell would begin driving the truck. In 2012, he started driving Destroyer, which he bought from Dan Evans in late 2011.
2012-2013[]
The truck would run again as "The Captain" in 2012 and 2013.
2014[]
Travis Groth competed with Captain USA in the Monster Jam Young Guns Shootout.
2023[]
The truck would once again run as The Captain as James Trantina III of Triple B Motorsports would pull the lease due to his dislike of Dawson Rayas. The truck would later return to running under the Captain USA name.
2024[]
Roger Stidell returns to drive the truck in Kennewick.
