Monster Trucks Wiki

BroCamino was a 1971 Chevrolet El Camino monster truck owned by Dieselsellerz and run by FELD Motorsports, based around the vehicle of the same name, featured in the Discovery Channel TV show Diesel Brothers. The truck was driven predominately by "Diesel" Dave Kiley, who stars on said show, although former Northern Nightmare driver Cam McQueen also drove the truck. As the name would suggest, BroCamino served as the teammate truck to BroDozer.

History[]

2019[]

BroCamino was first announced during the Monster Jam All-Star Challenge in Las Vegas.

2020[]

The truck eventually made its debut on January 11th, at the opening show of Stadium Championship Series Green at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida with Diesel Dave driving.

Afterwards, BroCamino would compete throughout Stadium Championship Series Green, with Diesel Dave sharing driving duties with Cam McQueen. During the series, the truck would win the skills challenge at the Sunday St. Louis event and finished sixth in the series standings.

BroCamino’s competition career would be short-lived, however, as the series would abruptly end in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in BroCamino being placed on hiatus for the time being.

In August, the truck was pulled out of storage to be featured in the Breaking World Records event, participating in an exhibition drag race alongside BroDozer. This event would mark the final appearance for both BroCamino, as well as BroDozer.

2021[]

The truck was released in diecast form by Spin Master.

Trivia[]

  • BroCamino's original working name was "Hell Camino". This was likely done because FELD didn't want a truck with the word 'hell' in the name, plus they wanted to keep the truck family friendly.
  • BroCamino is the second truck created by FELD Motorsports to be both sponsored and driven by the Diesel brothers, the first being its teammate, BroDozer.
  • Contrary to its civilian basis, BroCamino was not diesel powered, as it was powered by a standard methanol fueled engine.
  • As shown in the original render, BroCamino was originally intended to have a more accurate body design, complete with a bumper, roll cage, and headlight bar. This design was eventually scrapped in favor of a smaller, more efficient body design.
  • The mold for BroCamino’s revised body style was created by Starr Creations LLC.
  • BroCamino is the shortest lived full time competition truck run by Monster Jam. It only competed for 1 month (49 days), beating nWo's record by 3 weeks, due to the stadium tour BroCamino was competing in abruptly ending in late February, excluding the exhibition run that August.
