Monster Trucks Wiki

Black Panther was a custom 3D black panther monster truck owned by FELD Motorsports and licensed by Marvel Comics, based on the comic book character of the same name. It has since been primarily been piloted by Bari Musawwir.

The truck was one of four Marvel trucks created under the third renewal of the Marvel contract in 2023, alongside Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Thor. Black Panther made its official debut in summer of 2023 and has since competed almost exclusively as an international only truck.

History[]

2023-2024[]

Black Panther, along with the other Marvel trucks would be unveiled and competitively debut in London at the London Stadium on July 15th, 2023 being driven by Bari Musawwir. Bari also drives the truck for that year's Australian tour in Melbourne, Sydney, and Gold Coast.

The following year, despite also competing on a domestic points championship, Bari would continue to drive the truck during international events held during the first quarter. It would also compete on the first ever Ramped Up event in Birmingham, England, winning the first Skills competition of that event.

Later during the 2024 fall season, Black Panther and the other Marvel trucks would compete domestically for the first time, competing at the October stadium shows, in Glendale, Houston, and Arlington, which Bari would return to drive. During this tour, the truck would also be compete during the Australian tour that same month, in Melbourne and Sydney. Although Bari would be able to make Sydney, Bari would be unable to make Melbourne due to competing at said domestic shows, resulting in Joe Dennis joining the team with a second truck that weekend.

2025[]

In 2025, Joe would drive the truck once again in Stockholm, Sweden due to Bari competing domestically on another points championship. The truck is shelved/retired at the end of the year, along with the other Marvel trucks.

Trivia[]

  • Black Panther was the only new Marvel truck of the four 2023 Marvel trucks where said truck didn't have a former version with the past contracts.
  • During the initial revealing of the four trucks prior to their debuts at the London shows, Black Panther was the first to be unveiled.
  • In 2024, when Bari was competing on Stadium Championship Series West in Zombie, he was planned to compete at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington on March 30th. However, due to being scheduled at the first Ramped Up event in Birmingham that same weekend, he wouldn't be able to make the domestic event. This would result in Todd LeDuc getting the unexpected call to fill-in for Bari in Seattle.
