Bill Payne (born December 1st, 1981) is a monster truck driver out of Port Orchard, Washington and best known for driving Rockstar and owning his own race team, Straight Up Racing. He has competed on the Monster X Tour as a formidable opponent, earning him the wins of many wheelie, racing and freestyle competitions. His wife, Lorna, has also driven beside him in Rockstar as it is a two-seater truck. Bill is known for his wild driving style.
Career[]
Bill became interested in monster trucks after becoming interested in off-roading. He bought a Jeep after selling a low rider he owned. This lead him to buy the High Voltage and Hot Stuff trucks in 2002.
In 2006, he replaced High Voltage with Rockstar. He would later debut Deal Breaker and would continue to expand his fleet of trucks.
In 2009, he briefly ran in Monster Jam. The reason he left is unknown.
In 2024, he drove the Cali Kid & Rockstar in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. He drove both trucks again in Turlock, California.
