Bigfoot 4 is a Ford monster truck built by Bigfoot 4X4 in 1984. It was the first monster truck to be built from the ground up, specifically for the purpose, as opposed to being modified from a production truck. Bigfoot 4 was long considered to be the work horse of the Bigfoot roster, seeing continuous updates and revisions to its various systems in an effort to keep competitive in racing events, where Jim Kramer, Rich Hooser, Andy Brass, Gene Patterson, John Piant, Lonny Childress and many others drove the truck. Bigfoot 4 was the first Bigfoot to roll over, while being driven by Kramer in Murrayville, Kentucky, in 1986.
One of Bigfoot 4's most iconic moments occurred in 1990 at Louisville Motor Speedway. Bigfoot 8 was banned from TNT competition for being too advanced, so Brass drove Bigfoot 4 and beat Carolina Crusher in the semi-final round in a dramatic come-from-behind victory. Following a major wreck in Nashville in 1990, it was rebuilt as a "hybrid" truck, featuring a partial tubular chassis and many updates to its systems that made it more akin to later trucks. This is credited with the truck's longevity.
Bigfoot 4 was the first truck to sport the alternate Snake Bite body, which was unveiled in 1991.
After its initial retirement from competition in 1998, the team continued to use it as a display truck until 2007 when The truck was sold and became Massive Machine.
The truck has since been sold again, and has been completely restored, making its long awaited return at the 2023 Bigfoot Open House.
On June 15th, 2024, the Snake Bite body was put on the chassis for the 2024 Bigfoot Open House.
