Barry J.J. Wentz (January 31st, 1960-April 7th, 2006) was a monster truck driver out of Wichita, Kansas. He drove Frankenstein, Monster Vette and Wild Stang, which were owned by his friend, Cliff Starbird.
Death and legacy[]
Barry Wentz passed away on April 7th, 2006.
In 2020, Barry's sons Chance and Dakota Wentz drove a restored Frankenstein at the 56th Annual Starbird Car Show.
Trivia[]
The man interviewed for Return of the Monster Trucks was actually not Barry Wentz, but a random worker of the Superdome. It is unknown why this happened.
In 1988 Barry was driving Wild Stang when the truck flipped over forward trapping him inside for 45 minutes. Thankfully he wasn't seriously hurt.
