The 4 Wheel Jamboree is a series of summer events promoted by Events Inc, started in 1982 by the Promotion Company/Special Events (later Family Events) with the monster truck series (Triple Crown) begun in 1988, The Penda Points Series & Monster Truck Thunder Drags started in 1991. As of early 2024, the event is owned and promoted by Events Inc. out of suburban Indianapolis.
A 4 Wheel Jamboree is held each summer and fall and each last 3 days. Cities have included Rockford IL, Springfield IL, Racine WI, Memphis TN, Columbus OH, Springfield IL, Springfield, MO, Bloomsburg, PA, Lima, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Canfield, OH, Essex Junction, VT, Kalamazoo, MI, Naples, FL, and Danville IN. Bloomsburg is the host to the Summer Nationals and the only Jamboree to have not changed locations.
The jamborees feature monster truck racing & freestyle competitions, but also has many competitions for non-monster truck drivers and participants, such as burnout competitions, show n' shine contests, tough truck racing, and mud bog competitions.
In 2013, they began having freestyle champions.
In 2014, mega truck competitions have been added. Each year, the same 8-9 trucks would compete at each event as the last, with the field varying from year-to-year. Since 2008, a General Tire monster truck has been in attendance, with the chassis and driver varying.
Since 2017, only 6 trucks have competed.
In 2020, mega trucks returned after a hiatus and for the first-time monster trucks did not compete in racing, however they did race at the Indianapolis show.
In 2021, Tough Trucks were removed from all the events and monster trucks from Bloomsburg after 30 years, leading to controversy. However, this removal of monster trucks was short lived as they were brought back in 2022. The monster trucks from 2022 going forward were promoted by Joe Sylvester's Outlaw Monster Truck Drags rather than being in-house like before. Following the acquisition of the Jamborees by Events Inc. the monster truck portion of the weekend is now promoted as Monsters of Destruction, another property of Events Inc.
