The 2019 Monster Jam All-Star Challenge was an event hosted by Monster Jam at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 11-12th, 2019. This event served as the culmination of the Fire & Ice series, featuring all six original trucks from the series, as well as ten additional trucks voted by fans, and eight more trucks selected by the team captains. In total, twenty-four trucks were featured, with twelve trucks per team. The event was also broadcasted live on Pay-Per-View internationally, and later on NBC Sports Network after it took place. Team Ice would dominate the entire event that weekend, with Ryan Anderson in Son-Uva Digger winning the Chicago Style racing, freestyle, and overall points championships. Meanwhile, Brianna Mahon in Whiplash won the best trick competition, with Coty Saucier in Monster Energy winning the Vegas Style racing competition.

Reception[]
The 2019 Monster Jam All-Star Challenge was met with polarized reception, similar to that of World Finals XX. Fans praised the track designs and performances but criticized the judging. Fans criticized that several performances, such as those of Max-D (Colton Eichelberger) and Grave Digger (Tyler Menninga) were underscored, while performances involving "one-hit wonders" from trucks such as Monster Mutt Dalmatian Ice (Cynthia Gauthier) and Avenger Fire (Jim Koehler) being overscored. With many fans, along with drivers such as Colton Eichelberger and Dennis Anderson expressing their disapproval of the scoring system during the event, Monster Jam implemented a new rule in which a truck must complete the first 30 seconds of its freestyle performance to receive a score. The Best Trick competition also received criticism, particularly due to each planned stunt being simulated in Monster Jam Steel Titans. Due to the game's physics not being authentic, only three of the twenty-four stunts were successfully attempted. Controversy also arose due to promotions for the event slating that an encore was to be featured as part of the event. However, said encore never happened for unknown reasons.
Trivia[]
- This event marked the first of the following occurrences:
- The first event to be hosted by Monster Jam in which competitors were voted by fans on their website.
- The first event to feature two sets of racing competitions.
- The first event since 2017 to feature a pay-per-view release, although it was featured as a livestream. It was only available outside of the United States from the days of the event until October 20.
- The first event to featured inflatable obstacles since World Finals XIX.
- This event marked the only occurrence in which the Chicago Style racing format was featured in Sam Boyd Stadium.
- This event marked the final use of Sam Boyd Stadium for Monster Jam competitions.
- Originally, an additional, final event was scheduled to take place at Sam Boyd Stadium for Stadium Championship Series Red on March 20, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all events held after March 13 were canceled, and the event never occurred, resulting in the 2019 All-Star Challenge being the final Monster Jam event to be held at Sam Boyd Stadium.
- Originally, the All-Star Challenge was set to invite exclusively trucks from the Stadium circuits, excluding trucks who competed in arena events. However, this was soon changed to be a partially fan chosen lineup.
- The event was the largest event Monster Jam has held involving 2 groups of trucks competing against each other.
- Trucks that were not given Fire & Ice paint schemes during the event were given colored flags to show their team affiliation. Trucks on Team Fire featured orange flags, while trucks on Team Ice flew blue flags.
- For the best trick competition, competitors were only given one attempt.
- Most drivers from the 2019 first quarter were eligible to make an appearance. Hall Bros Racing, Raminator and Rammunition had competed at select arena shows not for points; Joe Sylvester, driving Black Stallion for Mike Vaters Sr. at select shows; Kevin King, driver of Monster Mutt on Axe/Wrecking Crew; Macey Nitcher, Ami Houde's replacement; Paul Strong, driver of Zombie Fire, who is no longer apart of Natural Disaster Racing; and Roy Pridgeon, driver of Ice Cream Man, Wolf's Head and Xtermigator are absent from the list.
- BroDozer was unable to race during Vegas Style racing on Saturday against Bad Company Ice due to engine trouble.
- Scooby-Doo and Monster Energy (LeDuc) were unable to advance to round 2 in the Vegas Style racing on Saturday due to mechanical problems.
- This event saw an obstacle very reminiscent of the triple bus stack, an obstacle not seen since World Finals 10 in 2009.
- The event saw the debut of the "All-Star Style" variant of the "Chicago Style" racing track.
- Dennis Anderson was present at the event as an expert analyst.
- Ryan Anderson established a new lowest score to win a major freestyle event, 8.962, breaking his past “record” of 9.182.
- This event would be the last show for Northern Nightmare( although it would make its return in 2024 with Chris Koehler behind the wheel) & all fire & ice trucks, except for Max-D Fire & El Toro Loco Ice.
- As mentioned above, Avenger and Bad Company never recieved diecast fire and ice schemes for the Spin Master line prior to the event.
- However, in 2022, Spin Master would produce Avenger Fire as part of the "Arena Favorites" series, leaving Bad Company as the only truck to not recieve a paint scheme in the diecast line.
